Staff News: Sr. Program Coordinator Priti Thareja

We are very pleased to announce that Priti Thareja has joined the department as a Senior Program Coordinator!

Priti will be at the helm of our diversity initiatives, organizing and running the Summer Program in Biostatistics & Computational Biology and supporting the StatStart Program, which aim to introduce biostatistics and computing to underrepresented undergraduate and high school students. She will also work with Marcello Pagano to manage the Africa Research, Implementation Science, and Education (ARISE) Network and with Shannan Ho Sui to support the Harvard Bioinformatics Core (HBC).

Priti grew up in New Jersey and received a Bachelor’s degree in English from Rutgers University in 2010. She lived in New York for six years before deciding it wasn’t cold enough and decided to move four hours north to Boston. She previously worked in the Harvard Chan School Admissions Office for a little over three years and is excited to transition to the Department of Biostatistics. Priti is known for picking the best restaurants on Yelp, remembering your Zodiac sign, and giving tips for your next travel destination!
