Veera Baladandayuthapani to Receive Myrto Award

We are extremely pleased to announce that Dr. Veera Baladandayuthapani will be the recipient of the 2019 Myrto Lefkopoulou Distinguished Lectureship. Dr. Baladandayuthapani will be presented with the award and will deliver a lecture on September 19, 2019.

Dr. Baladandayuthapani received his PhD in 2005 from the Department of Statistics at Texas A&M University, and is currently a Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Michigan, where he is also the Associate Director of the Center for Cancer Biostatistics. He has distinguished himself as an international leader, researcher, and educator in integrative genomics and proteomics, Bayesian graphical models, and functional and image data analysis. In addition to being an impactful collaborative scientist, demonstrating prolific success in obtaining grant funding, and being an extremely effective teacher, Dr. Baladandayuthapani has generously provided an enormous amount of service to his department, institution, and the profession with integrity, honesty, and care for others.
