Our first speaker this year James (Jeb) Besser, a hedge fund manager at JEB Partners investing in new drugs and biotechnology companies, will speak from the investor’s perspective about how regulatory incentives impact investment decisions, the inherent Wall Street bias against repurposed molecules, and provide a shocking and amusing tale about infamous Turing Pharma/Retrophin founder Martin Shrekli and how a fork in the road of history changed the way he was perceived forever.
