The fourth annual Harvard Chan Microbiome in Public Health Center (HCMPH) symposium will be held on May 16, 2022. One of the human microbiome’s best-known roles in population health is through chronic inflammatory diseases, and many of this year’s presentations will focus on this topic: interactions between gastrointestinal microbial communities, chronic environmental exposures such as diet, and long-term health outcomes including inflammation and obesity.
