C-CHANGE In Your Skills: How to Talk to a Climate Skeptic

09/21/2020

The Center for Climate, Health, and the Global Environment at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (Harvard Chan C-CHANGE) is hosting a series of skills-based workshops to help equip the Harvard community with skills needed to be effective leaders and agents of change. These workshops are focused on building practical skills in communications, policy, and leadership and will help you be effective in communicating your ideas, making the case for action, and engaging others in achieving shared goals.

Addressing climate change requires greater engagement with those who are skeptical of the scientific consensus on climate change or who don’t see it as relevant to their lives. This workshop, during Climate Week, will explore the attitudes and motivations that prevent people from supporting actions to decarbonize and identify strategies, including effective communication, to use when engaging climate skepticism.
