Are you a high school student with an overwhelming urge to make the world a better place? Are you looking for tangible ways to take climate action, develop leadership skills, and inspire others to join you in the fight for a healthier, more sustainable, and equitable future?
Have we got the summer program for you!
The Center for Climate, Health, and the Global Environment at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (Harvard Chan C-CHANGE) has joined forces with Putney Pre-College, an initiative of Putney Student Travel, to host another year of youth summer programming on climate, equity, and health in July 2022.
The Harvard Chan C-CHANGE Youth Summit trains students to be leaders in their communities through workshops, field-based activities, and meetings with scientists, health and policy experts, academics, energy innovators and more.
The Youth Summits combine Putney’s extensive history of designing educational and innovative student programs with Harvard Chan C-CHANGE’s leadership putting health and equity at the center of climate actions.
Empowering Young People to Lead

Students will gain perspective from inspiring world leaders, politicians, advocates, scientists, renewable energy innovators, at the forefront of tackling the climate crisis. Students will engage with the program themes through the lens of their chosen Action Focus group: Climate Communications, Press, & Media, Climate Science, Entrepreneurship, Industry, & Technology, Environmental Justice, Global Health, Epidemiology, & Infectious Disease, Medicine & Healthcare, and Policy & Advocacy.
This program was developed thanks to the support of Gina McCarthy, now the National Climate Adviser in the Biden-Harris Administration and former Director of Harvard Chan C-CHANGE.
