Boston – In response to Congress passing the Inflation Reduction Act, Dr. Aaron Bernstein, pediatrician and head of the Center for Climate, Health, and the Global Environment at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public health released the following statement.
Today, Congress passed the Inflation Reduction Act, which makes an unprecedented investment in climate action. This bill will jumpstart a clean energy economy and make us, and especially our children, healthier. In the race to combat the climate crisis, we should celebrate this historic moment and also know that the race is far from over. We must invest wisely. That starts with prioritizing frontline communities so that we can undo environmental injustice and build resilient, more equitable communities.
