Did you know that you can reduce your risk of cancer and reduce your environmental footprint with the same recipe? Start your season of celebrations on a healthy note by learning how to prepare a healthy appetizer and a festive mocktail for your holiday menu. Make your own garnish at the DIY garnish station. Both recipes will be prepared according to guidelines for cancer-prevention (compiled by HSPH) and to the Healthy and Sustainable Guidelines (developed by ALMA, The School of Italian Culinary Arts) for the Union of European Football Association (UEFA).
Chef Mario Marini joins us from ALMA, the School of Italian Culinary Arts in Parma, Italy. An ALMA alumnus, he serves as an ambassador for the School at events and exhibitions in the culinary sector. He opened the farmhouse “Il cielo di Strela” in the Parma hills following the completion of his training. Rhode Island-based mixologist Willa Van Nostrand is the founder of Little Bitte Artisanal Cocktails and designer of “garden to glass” food and beverage experiences.
