Speaker:

Chief Innovation Officer, Clalit Health Services & Founding Director, Clalit Research Institute

Abstract:

Israel relied heavily on real-world data in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic challenges. These include, among others: Early pandemic response guided by predictive modeling, the world’s fastest vaccination campaign driven by active digital outreach, a continuous flow of real world evidence on vaccine effectiveness and safety generated in near-real time, and continuous interaction with the global public health community to provide inference for decision making. With a vantage point of both the national scope as Chair of the National Experts Advisory Team on Covid-19 Response, and the payer-provider scope of the Innovation Division of Clalit Health Services, we will discuss the means and methodologies by which digital health and data science platforms can be harnessed to support public health decision making.
