Other Degree Applicants

Degree Application Deadline: December 1, 2024

Applicants should check with the Administrators of their desired degree program, before applying to the Program in Clinical Effectiveness. For some MPH/MS Degree Programs, starting with the Program in Clinical Effectiveness, will allow them to complete approximately one-third of their degree by the end of the summer.

Application Instructions:

  1. SOPHAS Degree Application
  2. SOPHASExpress Application, which includes:
    • $60 non-refundable application fee (Please email progclineffect@partners.org for an application fee voucher, which will cover the application fee.)
    • Curriculum Vitae
    • Statement of Purpose and Objectives: (this can be the same letter as for your degree application)
      • One page document addressing the reasons you wish to attend this program, your professional goals, and why you feel that this program will be beneficial to you
    • Two Letters of Recommendation: (this can be the same letter as for your degree application)
      • Recommendations detailing your clinical ability and research and/or public health potential.
      • One recommendation should be from your division/department head verifying your affiliation during the summer you plan to attend the PCE.
    • Transcripts (Optional) *There is no need to resubmit transcripts through SOPHAS Express, as these will be visible in SOPHAS.
    • Standardized Tests (Optional*There is no need to resubmit test scores through SOPHAS Express, as these will be visible in SOPHAS.
    • TOEFL, IELTS Academic, or Duolingo (Required) (please visit this site and scroll down for details)

Admissions Process

Degree applicants will receive two admissions decisions: one from the PCE Admissions Committee and one from the Harvard Chan School Admissions Office. Acceptance to the PCE does not guarantee acceptance to a degree program at the School and vice versa. See more about our Admissions Process and Waitlist.
