Harvard Fire Safety Services will be silent testing the Fire Alarm Systems from 7am – 3:30pm on:
SPH Building #1 on Monday , March 16th thru Thursday , March 19th
SPH Building #2 on Friday, March 20th & Monday, March 23rd thru Wednesday, March 25th
SPH FXB Building #4 on Thursday, March 26th thru Tuesday, March 31st ( NO WEEKENDS)
SPH Building #3 on Wednesday, April 1st thru Monday, April 6th ( NO WEEKENDS)
Building Speaker & Strobes WILL BE Sounding & Flashing Between 5AM > 6:45AM
BUILDINGS WILL BE POSTED WITH NOTICES BY 3/16/20

Building #2 Partial Emergency Power Shutdown Notice
Impacting: SPH-2 Fume hoods, General Exhaust, Access Controls, and select labs/systems identified below
Shutdown Date: Saturday, March 21, 2020
Shutdown Time: 6 AM to 8 AM
Partial emergency power shutdown in SPH2 to facilitate the installation of the new air handler units in Building 2 basement.
- SPH-2 ALL Floors (B, G, 1, 2, 3 & 4) – Fume Hoods, General Exhaust, Access Control, HCCM ground & basement exhaust and emergency power outlets, Cold Room 210 compressor, GCD Nitrogen Generators servicing Mass Spec Room 108.
- SPH-1 Basement & Ground Floor Pilot Plant Areas Only – Fume Hoods, General Exhaust, Biorepository emergency power.
We are anticipating a shutdown of no longer than 2 hours.
Air handlers in SPH-2
Saturday, March 21st from 6am to 2pm:
What: Air handlers in SPH-2 will be temporarily shut down to facilitate the installation of the new air handler unit.
Where: This shutdown will temporarily impact the heating supply from the Basement Level to Floor 3 (Excluding the HCCM Barrier Mouse Facility) in SPH-2.
