Dear Members of the Harvard Chan School Community,
As the coronavirus continues to spread, I know that many of you, as do I, have plenty of questions and concerns. We will continue to provide regular updates to keep you informed with the latest School and University information. Please be assured that we are working diligently with the University to plan for any and all contingencies. During this challenging time, we want you to know that the safety and well-being of our community is the top priority.
We have launched a Harvard Chan coronavirus website as a central resource for our community where you can find the latest updates, guidance, and useful information and resources. In addition, please check the University coronavirus website regularly.
Thank you to everyone at the School for your patience, understanding, and flexibility during this time. I realize that, in addition to being concerned about your own health, many of you are thinking about friends and loved ones, particularly those who are more vulnerable to diseases and may live in locations that are harder to reach. I share your concerns.
I want to thank the members of our community who are working hard every day to help students, faculty, fellows, researchers, and staff navigate our way forward through these choppy waters. This includes our custodial workers who have increased the frequency of cleanings to lessen the risk of transmission, our cafeteria and catering staff who continue to provide us with healthy meals, faculty and researchers who are working to understand and communicate the complexities of this virus and its transmission, and many, many others. I am honored every day to be part of this wonderful community.
