Now accepting applications: Rose Service Learning Fellowships

Dear members of the Harvard Chan School community,

I am pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for Rose Service Learning Fellowships. I encourage students and postdoctoral fellows who are engaged in projects that benefit communities here in Boston, across the country, or around the world to apply. Applications are due March 30.

Established through the generosity of Dr. Deborah Rose, SM ’75, these Fellowships represent a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience and advance your professional goals, while deepening cross-cultural understanding. The Fellowships will support rigorous service learning projects, which are designed to:

  • address community-identified needs, working in collaboration with the community and partner organizations
  • develop and strengthen reciprocal partnerships between the Harvard Chan School and the organizations and communities in which the service learning projects take place
  • help Fellowship recipients develop community-oriented skills to enhance their future work as public health leaders, including a deeper commitment to health equity, social justice, and social responsibility.

To learn more, please visit the Rose Service Learning Fellowship website, review the worksheet for applicants and the budget template, and complete the application form.

Students in all degree programs—including international students—who have completed at least one semester of coursework at the School are eligible to apply. Harvard Chan postdoctoral fellows, including international postdocs, are also eligible to apply.

Warm regards,

Michelle A. Williams, ScD
