Speaker Bio – Joanna Jolly

j-jollyJoanna Jolly is an award-winning journalist who was the BBC’s Nepal correspondent from 2009-2011. Since leaving Nepal, she’s worked as the BBC’s South Asia Editor in London, and the BBC’s feature writer in Washington DC. She was a Spring 2016 Joan Shorenstein Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School where she wrote a paper on the media’s coverage of sexual violence in India. In 2015 she returned to Nepal to cover the earthquake.
