Lunch ‘n’ Learn Workshop for Staff of Color and Allies

Nicole da Cruz is a practitioner of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) with experience in higher education and the corporate field. She works through the lens of anti-racism and specializes in empowering professionals with tools to activate their DEIB knowledge in the workplace. Making the connections between what we know and what we do, Nicole aligns practices, policies, and systems with the principles of equity and inclusion. These include talent acquisition and search committee management; policy development; and employee development. Nicole believes deeply in collaboration and honest communication in order to bring our best selves to the surface.
Prior to her role as the first Talent Acquisition Partner at the Rhode Island School of Design, Nicole led faculty recruitment and developed best practices for annual faculty searches. She is a trusted member of RISD’s close-knit community of students, faculty, and staff. Her work as a Talent Acquisition Partner has delivered successful, diverse, high-impact hires in leadership roles within the institution.
