Candice is a physician, entrepreneur, educator, and social justice advocate. She is passionate about diversity and inclusion issues, particularly around incorporating inclusive leadership into the workplace, dismantling institutional and interpersonal microaggressions, and transforming healthcare organizations into cultivators of Black Excellence. Most recently, she has completed the Congress of Neurological Surgeons Leadership Fellowship Program in 2017-2019, Oxford’s Women Leadership in Entrepreneurship Development Programme in 2020, and Oxford’s Social Impact Program in 2019-2020.
Dr. Carpenter is currently studying for an MPH in Health and Social Behavior, with additional concentrations in Humanitarian Studies, Ethics, and Human Rights as well as Public Health Leadership. She holds a M.B.A. from Oxford University Said Business School, an M.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, an Ed.M. in Mind, Brain, Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a B.A. in Psychology from Yale University.
