Born and raised in New York City, Omar became interested in global health and post-colonial theory in undergrad. Since then, he has worked in health system strengthening, and particularly quality, in settings such as New York City and Lilongwe. He is currently completing an MPH-65 in Health Management with passion to help develop sustainable health financing particularly in low- and middle-income countries. He interested in understanding how to center equity in health system strengthening and financing efforts. In his free time, he likes to cook, do yoga and play with his roommate’s dog.
