Equity-informed Approaches to Opioid Use Disorder Recovery During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Summer Field Immersion Experience
This summer, I supported two initiatives for the Harvard FXB Center for Health and Human Rights’ Director, Dr. Mary Bassett.

The first was to represent the FXB Center in a collaborative effort between major national funders drafting policy recommendations and advocacy for equitable and evidence-based uses of settlement funds resulting from landmark opioid class-action lawsuit settlements. The second was writing and submitting a piece for publication in the AJPH with the history scholar Dr. Khalil Gibran Muhammad on the historical racist roots of stigma against opioid use in the United States.
