Anita Ducca is the Senior Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, for the Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA, formerly the Healthcare Distribution Management Association).  Anita serves as the chief liaison on behalf of HDMA with federal regulatory agencies including FDA and DEA.  She has been with the association since 2002.

Prior to joining HDMA, Anita was the Director of Regulatory Affairs for the American Red Cross Biomedical Services (ARC), where she established ARC’s Regulatory Policy function and was responsible for internal and external regulatory, compliance and health and safety issues across the Biomedical organization.

Anita also served in a regulatory capacity for the American Petroleum Institute, one of the largest and most influential trade associations in the U.S.  Anita has also served on the staff of several federal regulatory agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration, the Office of Management and Budget and the Environmental Protection Agency.    

Anita has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics from Boston College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.  She also received a Master of Science Degree in Biostatistics from Georgetown University under a National Center for Health Services Fellowship. 

HDMA is the national association representing primary pharmaceutical distributors, the vital link between the nation’s pharmaceutical manufacturers and healthcare providers.  HDMA’s membership includes 33 primary distribution companies — national, regional and specialty — that deliver prescription medicines and healthcare products throughout the country.
