Frannie R. Kronenberg MD, MSc is an internist and the Medical Director of the Bulfinch Medical Group, a large primary care practice at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Instructor in Medicine, Harvard Medical School.

Previously she was the Medical Director of Patient Engagement at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she was responsible for the health system’s patient portal and involved in clinical process redesign, new models of primary care and primary care quality. She was also the physician leader of a 24/7 nurse triage, population management and care coordination center.

Dr. Kronenberg has had the unique experience of having been a hospital administrator during Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath at one of the three hospitals in the Greater New Orleans region that remained open and operational through the storm. Prior to this she was a practicing internist and medical director of a primary care practice affiliated with Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Partners Healthcare System in Boston, Massachusetts.

She received her undergraduate degree from Brown University in 1984, medical degree from the University of Connecticut in 1990, and completed her internal medicine residency at Boston University Hospital in 1993. Her Master’s degree in Health Care Management is from the Harvard School of Public Health, which she completed in 2005.
