Frederick W. Malaby, CIH, CSP

Mr. Malaby retired in early 2015 from the position of Industrial Hygienist for OSHA's Boston Regional Office. In that position, he provided technical assistance on occupational health matters for various OSHA related efforts in New England. In particular, Mr. Malaby helped to coordinate the interpretation and enforcement policy for OSHA standards in Region I. In the last years before retirement, Mr. Malaby’s areas of emphasis were emergency preparedness, process safety management, combustible dusts and respiratory protection. Mr. Malaby held this position for over 30 years. Prior to this, he was a field compliance industrial hygienist in OSHA's offices in Providence, RI and Concord, NH. Currently, Mr. Malaby is a trainer for The New England Consortium, Lowell, MA and a part-time consultant. Fred has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Colorado State University and is a Certified Industrial Hygienist by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene and a Certified Safety Professional by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
