Roy Deitchman, JD, CIH

Roy Deitchman works as Senior Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer at Harris Corporation, an aerospace and defense firm in Herndon, Virginia. He previously served as the Vice President – Environmental Health and Safety for Amtrak from 1999 to 2012. He also has 22 years of experience in the Bell System working in industrial hygiene, environmental management and law for Bell Laboratories, New York Telephone and NYNEX. He served as an Industrial Hygienist for Cal/OSHA in 1976-77.

Roy has a BS degree in earth science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, MFS in forestry from the Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, MS in environmental health from the Harvard University School of Public Health and JD in law from New York Law School. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Fellow of the American Industrial Hygiene Association and Member of the New York State Bar.
