Program Overview
In the wake of the 2018 mid-terms and leading up to the high-stakes 2020 elections, much about the fate of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and U.S. health reform is known and much remains unknown. Under the Trump administration and a divided U.S. Congress, the only certainty in health policy is continuing change—small, medium, and large.
Health care executives need to anticipate policy changes and to develop a deeper understanding of how this will impact organizations, employees, patients and other stakeholders. Senior leaders must look beyond immediate controversies and challenges to build and shape their competitive advantages.
This executive program offers broader perspectives than you can obtain from the media, providing key lessons involving U.S. health reform and policy, focusing on impact on your organization and on you as a leader. Some of the nation’s leading health policy experts will offer essential lessons from current reforms, discuss what policy innovations to anticipate in the mid-term elections aftermath, and help you thrive in our fast-evolving health care marketplace.
This program will:
- Develop your ability to anticipate and address health policy changes impacting your organization
- Enhance your long-term strategic planning capability by providing key insights into the future of health care and health policy
- Improve your effectiveness in leading complex health care organizations
World-known Harvard faculty at health reform’s cutting edge will translate their research and real-world experience for you into knowledge that will position your organization to succeed in today’s health care environment. This is an unrivaled opportunity to engage with world-class policy experts and senior leaders from across the health industry to explore the present and future of U.S. health reform efforts during this volatile time.
This executive education program will examine the implications of health reform across sectors, informing your organization’s strategic and policy planning processes in the years ahead. By attending this program, you will strengthen your understanding of the forces affecting the U.S. health care industry and improve your ability to lead with purpose and vision.
Understand How Health Reform Impacts Your Company
Strategic planning requires understanding the forces impacting your industry, inside and outside government. By gaining strong insights into the health sector—how it is changing, and how it may change in the future—you can guide your organization’s strategy planning process.
Because health reform and health policy have such major impacts on the health industry, executives must develop deeper understanding of current and anticipated reforms. Preparing for What’s Next in U.S. Health Reform will provide you with this knowledge, preparing you for upcoming legislation under the current administration and equipping you to develop the appropriate strategies for your organization going forward.
