Dr Pinelopi Anagnostopoulou is a Lecturer of Pediatrics in the Medical School of the University of Cyprus, and a Consultant Pediatric Pulmonologist at the ‘‘Archbishop Makarios III’’ Hospital in Nicosia-Cyprus, where she leads the Lung Function Laboratory.

She studied Medicine at the University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and worked as a researcher in the University of Heidelberg, Germany and in the University of Bern, Switzerland. She was trained in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonology in Thessaloniki, Greece and Bern, Switzerland and holds the ERS HERMES European Diploma in Pediatric Respiratory Medicine. Her research interests cover the following areas: Respiratory physiology and lung function testing in infants and children; Lung development in health and disease; Computational lung modelling; Clinical studies on diagnostics and monitoring of chronic respiratory diseases in children (cystic fibrosis, primary ciliary dyskinesia, etc).
