Presenter: Ann Backus, MS, Instructor in Occupational Health, Director of Outreach, Harvard Chan Education and Research Center

Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to 1) explain the pros and cons of near-miss surveys; 2) discuss the situations responsible for near-misses in the Maine fishing industry; 3) explain three actions the Maine Commercial Fishing Safety Council has taken to enable fishermen to respond to potentially hazardous situations; and to 4) list three ERC Outreach activities that are available to Harvard Chan students.
