Africa Health Conference presented by the Harvard Chan Africa Health Students Forum

Many events, including the COVID-19 pandemic, have exposed weaknesses within health systems in Africa and provided unique opportunities to think through new ways to prepare for the future. Comprehensive and multidisciplinary approaches are necessary for addressing population health challenges and building more resilient health systems. Taking advantage of the platform we have at Harvard, we are launching the inaugural Africa Health Conference, presented by the Harvard T.H. Chan Africa Health Students Forum. This year’s conference theme is “Building Resilience and the Future of Health in Africa.” We will explore a wide range of topics that meaningfully reflect the unique African health context and opportunities to improve health outcomes on the continent.
