Ambassador Dr. John Nkengasong served as the first director of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and a special envoy for the World Health Organization on COVID-19 preparedness. Now, he’s leading PEPFAR, the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, which has saved tens of millions of lives over the past two decades. Ambassador Nkengasong will share lessons learned from decades of leading the fight against infectious disease in this conversation with Phyllis Kanki, the Mary Lasker Professor of Health Sciences at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
