“COVID-19, US health inequities, and the long reach of history”

June 30 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Join Professor Evelynn Hammonds (FAS) and Professor Nancy Krieger (HSPH) in conversation about Covid-19, US health inequalities, and long reach of history. They will focus on racialized groups while bringing in the intertwined sociopolitical and socioeconomic drivers of racialized health inequities in COVID – including how they play out by gender, geography, and more. They will flag their distinct and overlapping expertise in relation to history of science, social epidemiology, and a shared commitment to understanding & addressing societal & health inequities, past into the present.

This is a VPAL Signature Event sponsored by the Office of the Vice Provost for Advances in Learning and the Harvard Summer School.
