February Nutrition and Global Health Seminar

Join us for our monthly NGH seminar! This month we have Dr. Linda Adair, Professor in the Department of Nutrition, Gillings School of Global Public Health, UNC Chapel Hill for her talk titled: “Early life influences on adult health and well-being: Comparative studies from low and middle income countries in the COHORTS collaboration.”

This talk will highlight work done by the COHORTS collaboration, which unites long term studies in Brazil, Guatemala, India, the Philippines and South Africa to study how child characteristics at birth and patterns of growth relate to adult non-communicable disease risk, human capital, and other aspects of well-being. It will address methodological challenges as well as substantive findings.
