Students are welcome to join us on Sept. 9 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Kresge G1 for a special screening of The Color of Care, a documentary which chronicles how people of color suffer from systemically substandard healthcare in the United States, with a pressing focus on how the Covid-19 pandemic shed light on the tragic consequences of that inequity. Produced by Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions and the Smithsonian Channel, this timely project traces the origins of this systemic inequity to practices that first emerged during slavery in the United States.

This event will include a post-screening discussion with FXB Health and Human Rights Fellows Dr. Brittney Butler and Dr. Marie Plaisime. Registration is required, as space is limited. Catering will be provided for all attendees.
