Injustice Laid Bare: A Pandemic’s Revelation in American Healthcare

June 28th, 2021 @ 1:00 pm

Injustice Laid Bare

Racial disparities have plagued the American healthcare system for centuries, and the COVID-19 pandemic revealed just how ingrained and lethal they have become. During COVID-19, Black and brown Americans died at twice the rate of white Americans, and it has taken a worldwide pandemic to make us confront an inalienable truth: medical racism is a public health crisis.

In “Injustice Laid Bare:  A Pandemic’s Revelation in American Healthcare,” we will talk to those at the forefront of our nation’s healthcare system as well as those who have directly suffered its indignities, in order to confront the system’s inequities and ensure that the wrongs of our healthcare past and present will not continue.
