Pandemic Update: Vaccines, Children, Equity and More

November 12th, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Group of school children wearing masks to protect against infection

Join us for a timely update on COVID-19 vaccines for children, as well other pressing issues impacting the course of the pandemic: What do we need to know about vaccinating younger children given the recent emergency use authorization for kids 5 to 11 years old? Who exactly needs a booster dose? What’s the latest on variants? And how should we address the global gap of vaccine access among countries? A panel of experts will discuss new developments and persistent challenges during this free, live-streamed Forum event on November 12.

Panelists include:

Kizzmekia Corbett, Assistant Professor of Immunology and Infectious Diseases, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

William Hanage, Associate Professor of Epidemiology, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

Amir Mohareb, Infectious Diseases Physician, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Instructor at Harvard Medical School

Scott Hensley, Senior Health Editor, Science Desk, NPR (moderator)
