Helen Clark, who served as prime minister of New Zealand from 1999 to 2008, will be in conversation with Mary T. Bassett, director of Harvard’s FXB Center for Health and Human Rights and incoming commissioner of health of the State of New York. They will discuss the findings of the Independent Panel for Pandemic Preparedness, which was founded by the World Health Organization Director-General to address the COVID-19 pandemic and to prevent future infectious disease outbreaks. They also will discuss Clark’s career and leadership in global health and in New Zealand.
