Panel Discussion: Operational Challenges in Research
Aisha Yousafzai, Gillian SteelFisher & Jocelyn Finlay
Global health and population research presents many operational challenges in implementation and data collection. The three panelists have experience in conducting research in fragile and disadvantaged contexts and will present key issues that students are likely to encounter pertaining to interpreting survey data, building relationships to support research implementation, capacity development, and ethics. Following the panel presentations, there is an opportunity for Q&A and discussion on challenges students have encountered or are addressing in their current work.
