Summer Research Internship
During the summer between the first and second years, students are required to undertake a research internship for hands-on experience and to integrate the research skills that they have learned from their coursework. Many students use the summer research experience to develop their thesis. Students are welcome to review past internship reports that include detailed information on previous student placements. Master’s Thesis
The second year involves a mix of coursework and the Master’s Thesis. The thesis is intended to allow the student to pursue a single topic in depth and demonstrate analytical and substantive research expertise in an area of global health and population.
