When Lauren Cohen joined HaSET, she was an undergraduate senior at Tufts University studying Biology and Child Study and Human Development. Passionate about reproductive and maternal and infant health, she worked with MOTHER Lab, a maternal health and health equity lab based out of the Tufts University School of Medicine, since its inception. Aiming to address and eradicate inequities that Black women and mothers face, Lauren primarily focuses on educating the public on maternal health policy by publishing quarterly newsletters on relevant state and national legislation. She was excited to work with the HaSET team to gain a broader perspective of the global experiences of maternal and newborn health outcomes.
