Seblewongel Yigletu

During her engagement with HaSET, Seblewongel (Seble) Yigletu was pursuing a Master of Science in Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health. As a research assistant with HaSET, Seble was involved with several projects including pregnancy risk stratification research and data analysis for the verbal autopsy (VA) study tool within the BIRHAN Mortality Surveillance.

Seble was a recent graduate of Tufts University when she joined our team, where she received a degree in Community Health. During her time at Tufts, she conducted a senior honors thesis exploring the behavioral factors of sustained breastfeeding in Ethiopia. She is passionate about how data can be used as a catalyst to improve the lives of women and children in low-resourced settings.
