Research Assistant Position

Dr. Christy Denckla is looking for help with data management, analysis, compliance with IRB, and dissemination of results in a study on psychological resilience among children who have experienced the death of a loved one. Data are drawn from the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC). You would be part of an effort funded by an Innovations in Positive Health pilot grant from the Lee Kum Sheung Center for Health and Happiness at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health to address knowledge gaps in the concept of resilience while identifying factors that promote positive health outcomes among bereaved youth. Ultimately, this project will influence empirical studies of resilience and identify key adaptive mechanisms. Good candidates will be detail-oriented individuals with an interest in psychological health and well-being, a knowledge of R, and good writing skills. Salary is commensurate with experience, between ~$19-21/hr, per HSPH pay guidelines. We are looking for someone able to work ~8 hrs/wk for 12 months. Contributing RAs would also, of course, be co-authors on any resultant publications. If you are interested please send a CV to Christy Denckla at cdenckla@hsph.harvard.edu
