Who We Are
Our faculty works on compelling and important public health problems, including safer and more efficient health care delivery, expanded health insurance coverage that eliminates disparities, and designing and improving the performance of entire health care systems.
Our researchers apply decision science, health economics, health care management, quality and access, and policy research to issues such as gun safety and suicide prevention, homelessness, the opioid crisis, nutrition and food security, the pandemic’s effects on health systems, and the geographic determinants of health.
Our academic programs give students the critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to address a wide variety of challenges in health care delivery, public policy, and public health.
What Sets Us Apart
Most of our faculty have worked in government or have advised government entities, and therefore are experts at educating global leaders and translating research findings into effective public policy and programs.
We have strong ties to leading public health policymakers and practitioners, providing students with opportunities to apply classroom learning to real-world public health management and global policy problems.
Our students, hailing from all over the world, have significant prior work experience and enrich the classroom with their insights and perspectives. Our alumni have gone on to become leaders in a variety of industries including academia, government, and health care.
