Carlo Ross

Carlo Keenan Ross, BSc, MBChB

Dr Ross is a Research Assistant at the Harvard Health Systems Innovation Lab and a Master’s in Public Health 2023 candidate at Harvard University with a background as an academic doctor in the National Health Service in the United Kingdom.

Carlo undertook his pre-clinical training at the University of St Andrews before completing his clinical training in Manchester. Carlo has worked with the Kenya-UK Health Alliance to coordinate an annual breast cancer awareness week in eleven Kenyan medical schools within his academic role in the U.K. He is currently a Co-Principal Investigator of a national breast cancer patient pathways study in Kenya.

As part of his work for the Harvard Health Systems Innovation Lab, Carlo has contributed to the Global Collaborative for Changing Diabetes, leading a study of the prevalence of autoantibodies in type 1 diabetes and contributing to the global type 1 diabetes simulation-based modelling study. Carlo’s current work within the lab involves contributing to a World Economic Forum commissioned report, generating a framework for strategic Public-Private Partnerships to enhance cardiovascular healthcare and create high-value health systems.
