Mery is a senior at University of California, San Diego studying Psychology with a specialization in human health, as part of the honors program. Having survived war, she values the gift of life and strongly believes in health equity. Living in five countries has broadened her interests in policies governing healthcare delivery mechanisms and factors influencing accessibility, efficiency, and quality of care. Her future goals include attending medical school while conducting research in health policies and innovations to take direct action in local and global means. In her spare time, she enjoys learning languages, painting, and playing the piano.
