The Department of Information Technology is preparing to update the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health student virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) for the upcoming 2021 Spring Term.
The deadline for Student VDI software requests for Spring term is Friday, December 4th.
For any new software you may need from January to June 2021, you must complete the online form linked below:
Important scheduled software changes include:
- Stata will be available in version 16 ONLY, v15 will be removed
- R will be available in version 3.5 and higher ONLY
- R version 4 will become available
- SAS version updates from 9.4 M6 to 9.4 M7

Microsoft productivity software including Office and web browsers do not need to be requested. If you have anyone who is assisting you with your class (e.g. TAs, guest lecturers, etc.), please forward this message to them as well.
