The Harvard Network will undergo routine maintenance on Tuesday, December 15 and Thursday, December 17.
To address a known vulnerability on the Border Gateways, HUIT is patching Harvard’s two connections to the Internet to mitigate a known denial of services vulnerability .
HUIT will be patching the following during this maintenance window.
- Border Gateway 2: Tuesday, December 15 from 8:00 PM until Wednesday, December 16 at 12:00 AM.
- Border Gateway 1: Thursday, December 17 from 8:00 PM until Friday, December 18 at 12:00 AM
No impact to connectivity is expected during the above times. There may be momentary connection interruptions, requiring users to reload a web page or application, but HUIT expects most users will not experience any disruption.
