MAINTENANCE: Harvard Phone – 3/12-3/14/21

HUIT will be performing Harvard Phone maintenance during the weekend of March 12-14.


What is happening?

Harvard Phone maintenance is scheduled to begin on Friday March 12, 2021 at 10:00 PM and end on Sunday March 14, 2021 at 5:00 PM Eastern Time. 


Why?

The Harvard Phone platform will be updated to implement the Apple Push Notification Service to maintain updates to Apple devices.


What is the impact?

Please note the following Harvard Phone interruptions expected during the maintenance event:

  • The ServiceNow Harvard Phone Request module will be unavailable.
  • The Harvard Phone Account Portal will be unavailable.

On Saturday, March 13th from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

  • Phone service is not expected to be interrupted, however calls on hold, or lines connected to a conference bridge may drop during this window.
  • Jabber users may need to login and logout to re-establish a connection.
  • Physical desk set phones will reset.  Call forwarding and single number reach settings will not be affected.

On Saturday, March 13th from 10:00 PM through Sunday, March 14th at 3:00 AM.
