In order to improve Wi-Fi coverage in the main SPH campus buildings, IT has engaged a vendor to conduct a scan and survey of the Wi-Fi system in the campus buildings and floors listed below. The team will bring Wi-Fi monitoring equipment through all floors to measure current Wi-Fi strength and detect interference. The results will help us improve the existing system, and help us create a plan to improve coverage.
The vendor will be accompanied by a security escort during the surveys to unlock doors and get access to as many locations as is reasonable in order to build a complete coverage map as best we can.
The project is estimated to take about 7 business days.
