How to install Acrobat on a PC
Below are instructions for using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on up to two computers. It will walk you through creating an Adobe account, downloading and installing the software on your computer, and logging into the software with your newly created Adobe account. You will need to create a password for your Adobe account during this process. We recommend a password that is at least as strong as your Harvard KEY.
Here are the instructions:
1. The email you receive from Adobe will look like the image below. Click on Get Started
2. Your default web browser will open and you will see the below page. Your email address will be prepopulated. Enter your First name, Last name, and pick a strong password. We recommend a password that is at least as strong as your Harvard KEY.
3. Check the box and click Continue
4. Select your date of birth. This is part of Adobe’s policy for creating an account and is for for account recovery purposes only.
5. Choose the Windows installer for your computer’s operating system
6. Leave the default settings and click Next
7. Leave the default settings and click Finish
8. Be sure to select Use Trial or Subscription or Named user license (we are using named user license) and click Install. If a window pops up about Files in Use, close those files/applications and click Retry
9. Installation is complete. Click Launch Now.
10. When the application launches, you’ll need to sign in with your Harvard email address and the password you created earlier. Click Sign In Now
11. Enter your Harvard email address and your Adobe password. Do not sign in with Facebook or Google.
12. If you want, you can add a mobile number to assist with resetting your password if you lose it. Enter your mobile number and click Text me and enter the code you receive via text on the next screen. Or you can just click Skip.
13. Click Accept
14. That’s it! Click Continue and Adobe Acrobat DC Pro will launch.
How to install acrobat on a Mac

5. Choose the Mac OS installer for your computer’s operating system
6. Run the below installer
7. Double click on the Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.pkg file
8. Click through the steps in the Install Adobe Acrobat DC window
9. Be sure to select Use Trial or Subscription or Named user license (we are using named user license) and click Install. If a window pops up about Files in Use, close those files/applications and click Retry.
10. At some point in the install process you will need to enter the password for your Mac computer to authorize the software installation.
11. After the software finishes installing, in Finder, choose Go -> Applications and run Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
12. When the application launches, you’ll need to sign in with your Harvard email address and the password you created earlier. Click Sign In Now
13. Enter your Harvard email address and your Adobe password. Do not sign in with Facebook or Google.
