WordPress is an open source website publishing tool and content management system. It is used by more than 26 percent of the top 10 million websites (as of April 2016).
The School’s core website, as well as most websites affiliated with the School, are powered by WordPress. Chances are very high that your department, laboratory, or office uses a website powered by WordPress, and at some point, you may need to update it.
Can I get a WordPress website, and is it free?
Faculty members can request access to add and edit content to their website.
Please contact Student Affairs and inquire if your club or association is eligible.
If you are eligible for a website, there will be no charge in most cases. However, more complex requirements (web application development, dedicated servers, PCI/HIPA compliance) may require some form of funding.
Who should I contact if I need help?
