Cristina Gago

Cristina is a doctoral student in the Nutrition Department. Having earned her B.S. in Human Biology and her M.P.H. in Global Health Leadership, she is interested in further exploring the connection between socio-physical environment and metabolic disease risk, by specifically applying a social determinants of health approach. Through her doctoral work, she plans to study how, in resource-limited settings, behavior-change theory and family-based obesity prevention models can be effectively applied as well as how related programming may be evaluated.
