Executive Director, Studio Programming
Lisa Mirowitz sets the creative and editorial direction of all current and future programming of the Harvard Chan Studio, which is a division of the Department of Communications. Prior to joining the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Lisa was the Senior Producer and Project Director of the NOVA science documentary series, produced for PBS out of WGBH–Boston’s public television station. Lisa was part of the NOVA team for nearly 25 years, beginning as a production assistant and working as an associate producer and producer on numerous programs and specials in the series. As part of the senior editorial staff at NOVA, she managed the development of all new projects, in addition to the production of specials and mini-series. Her award-winning work includes multi-hour productions such as Making Stuff, This Emotional Life, Fabric of the Cosmos, Hunting the Elements and the Emmy-nominated series, Evolution, among others. She also senior-produced Rx for Survival: A Global Health Challenge, an Emmy award-winning series on international global health filmed in over 25 countries.

Stephanie Simon oversees editorial and business strategy and programming direction for the Harvard Chan Studio, which is a division of the Department of Communications. Before joining Harvard Chan, Stephanie was a managing director of Ten Bridge Communications, where she established and executed communications strategies for biotech companies on the frontiers of drug discovery. She previously worked as a national reporter for the Los Angeles Times, the Wall Street Journal, POLITICO, and Reuters. In 2015, she and a small team of founding editors launched the life sciences publication STAT. As managing editor, she then directed STAT’s coverage of the biopharma industry. Stephanie holds a bachelor of arts in English from Yale.
