Past activities and current project
Margje (Marthe) H. Haverkamp is an infectious disease specialist with a Ph.D. in immunology. She has worked since 2012 as a senior policy advisor to the Dutch Ministry of Healthcare (VWS).

She was awarded the VWS/Harkness fellowship in Health Care, Policy and Practice for 2015-2016 by the Commonwealth Fund. She is now working at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (dept. of Health Policy and Management) on the incentive structure for waste reduction in healthcare and the role of healthcare payers therein. Her project is closely linked to the international Choosing Wisely campaign.
